Michael Sheen for The Assembly / BBC
Michael Sheen has reportedly signed up to take part in the next series of The Celebrity Traitors.
Series two of the show – the BBC’s top-rated programme last year – is about to begin filming in Scotland, with the identities of those participating likely to be revealed by paparazzi photos.
Earlier this week host Claudia Winkleman confirmed that some top names are in the lineup, and according to The Sun, one of them is movie star Sheen.
“Michael has had a lot of practice playing lying, duplicitous and scheming men – The Traitors should be a breeze,” a source told the newspaper.
“He is very much seen as a ‘big dog’ signing. Behind the scenes, everyone is hugely excited.
“Michael is a massive fan of the show so it makes total sense that he would want to be a part of it.
“This year’s show has some incredible names, a real blend of characters, and promises to be incredible.”
Other celebs linked with the show include Danny Dyer, Hugh Grant, Jamie Oliver, Amanda Holden and Alison Hammond.
