David Haye for I'm A Celebrity... South Africa S2 / ITV
Ant and Dec have admitted that it has ‘not been nice to watch’ David Haye giving Adam Thomas a hard time on I’m A Celebrity… South Africa.
In episodes broadcast last week, the ex-boxer berated the former Emmerdale star repeatedly after Thomas broke rules by smuggling sweet treats into camp for his fellow celebrities.
Haye’s actions led many viewers to accuse him of “bullying”, while Thomas himself has since issued a statement conceding that Haye “broke” him.
“It’s not a nice watch. He just kind of picks and picks at them,” Ant said on the spinoff show I’m A Celebrity… Unpacked.
“Adam has had a bit of a tough time and he’s not coping well.
“Clearly the banter has got too much. But David won’t stop.”
Dec added: “It’s kind of crossed the line from banter. I don’t find it comfortable to watch.”
