How would you describe your cooking style?
“My food is quite instinctive and visual. I’m drawn to food that is comforting and a little bit playful. Recently I’ve been exploring Eastern European food the most. I love going to restaurants and trying cuisines or dishes I have not had before, then thinking about how I can adapt certain flavours or techniques to my own cooking. I’m the go-to-friend for restaurant recommendations!”
What is your favourite ingredient to cook with?
“It changes all the time! My most recent very random one is using the water from feta cheese as seasoning for chicken lemon soup! It’s so good!”
Why did you take part in the show?
“I entered purely because I have watched the show for years and one day decided that I’d like to try having a go at it. I came into it with no expectations or goals, just wanted to have fun, and I did!”
Would you like to work professionally in the food industry?
“My ultimate food fantasy dream would be to host a really gritty, ‘uncensored’ food travel show where I travel around Eastern Europe, eating, drinking and partying with the locals. Showcasing parts of the world that aren’t often highlighted in the mainstream food media.”
