Piers Morgan for Piers Morgan Uncensored
5 has extended its relationship with Piers Morgan with a deal to broadcast two spinoffs of his online Piers Morgan Uncensored show.
Last year the broadcaster began airing a weekly linear compilation edition of his main YouTube show in a late Friday night slot and has since extended the arrangement throughout 2026.
Morgan recently began extending the Uncensored brand in the vein of the The Rest Is… franchise – and now 5 has committed to showing two of the spinoffs, World Cup Uncensored and The Royals Uncensored.
The World Cup-themed show features Morgan alongside John Terry and Simon Jordan discussing the globe’s largest sporting tournament, which began last week, and will air on 5 from Monday, June 29.
The Royals Uncensored, meanwhile – airing Saturdays on 5 from June 27 – is hosted by journalists Katie Nicholl and Jo Elvin and “gives viewers a glimpse behind the velvet curtain with insights on everything royal”.
“This marks a major milestone in the evolution of Uncensored and is a fantastic achievement for the team, especially considering World Cup Uncensored and The Royals Uncensored launched just a few weeks ago,” said Morgan.
“The response from audiences has been incredibly encouraging, and bringing the show to 5 is a testament to the appetite for smart, engaging and entertaining royal coverage. I’m thrilled both teams will be joining me on 5 as the brand continues to grow.”
5’s commissioning editor Federico Ruiz added: “The Uncensored brand continues to deliver online, and we’ve been keeping a close eye on it. We’re really excited to expand our partnership with Piers’ outstanding team, blurring the lines between linear and digital, and bringing fresh audiences to great content.”
Online, Uncensored records around 1 million views daily and has topped 1 billion lifetime views.
