Nevaeh David for Love Island 2026 / ITV
It was a Casa Amor bloodbath on last night’s Love Island as five of the newbies were dumped amid a shock recoupling that saw six new couples formed.
Shortly after leaving the villa, Nevaeh David spoke to the press about her time on the show…
How does it feel to be leaving Love Island?
“It’s bittersweet for sure. I had an amazing experience and I really enjoyed every part of it. I made some amazing friends. Obviously, being a Casa girl can be difficult because you don’t get much time. If I had more time, I think I could’ve made better connections with people. Overall I was true to myself and I was genuine.”
How would you describe the experience?
“It’s like a rollercoaster but honestly it was amazing. It’s crazy how close you can get to people in such a short period of time, how high your emotions are and how much love you have to give.”
We saw you getting to know Simba – did you feel like there was an instant connection there?
“I don’t know if there was an instant spark – I did fancy him. I think the first chat we had was nice and then after that I don’t really know what happened. We got on well to begin with and we obviously fancied each other. But he wasn’t my person.”
Were you interested in getting to know any of the other boys?
“I was definitely interested in Samraj. I was focused on Simba to begin with, which I’m a bit annoyed about. Samraj is obviously happy with Mica which is lovely. I did fancy Finley but Liv was one of my closest girls here so I felt a little bit odd to go over to him and ruin their moment because I knew she really liked him.“
Did you form good friendships?
“I formed amazing friendships with all of the girls. They’re all amazing, lovely people. I got really close with Mara and Liv. We had so many giggles, I don’t think I’ve laughed so much in my entire life. I’m really excited to see them again after the whole experience.”
Love Island continues nightly at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
