Aaron Badibo for Love Island 2026 / ITV
It was a Casa Amor bloodbath on last night’s Love Island as five of the newbies were dumped amid a shock recoupling that saw six new couples formed.
Shortly after leaving the villa, Aaron Badibo spoke to the press about his time on the show…
How does it feel to be leaving Love Island?
“It doesn’t feel that bad because I did what I could. I feel like there was no one in there that was really feeling me. I don’t think the girls there were really attracted to me, but it is what it is. You find someone or you don’t. That’s not a tragedy. It’s just how it goes.”
How would you describe the experience?
“I loved the experience because the group of guys I was with were just perfect. You had to make sure you gave yourself a chance with every girl. You were always doing your best to pull them away from their situation. You had to graft every day. But getting to play the games, and dressing smart for the evening and chatting to everyone? It was a fun time.”
We saw you getting to know Mica and Angelista – did you think that could go somewhere?
“When I first got in there, my eye was on Angelista and Mica. I could tell Mica’s energy was on Samraj though so I didn’t really try anything. Will was telling me the same thing, that she kept mentioning Samraj. After the first chat I wasn’t chasing again. Angelista, it was good getting to know her for the first couple of days.”
Did you form good friendships?
“I did, I was closest to Tommy and Jordon was cool as well. I feel like everyone was just cool with each other. There were no favourites. I feel like everyone is going to stay close afterwards. We’re already planning trips, so hopefully that happens and we enjoy ourselves outside.”
Love Island continues nightly at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
