Jason Durr as Clive on EastEnders / BBC
Former Casualty actor Jason Durr has joined the cast of EastEnders for a guest stint this Summer.
The actor – also known for Heartbeat – appeared in the medical drama as clinical nurse manager between 2016 and 2023.
In EastEnders he will play a local councillor called Clive, who arrives in the Square to address the residents after it emerges that the much-loved Community Centre is at risk of redevelopment.
Linda (Kellie Bright) spearheads the effort to save the Centre and strikes up a friendship with Clive after he backs the cause, but she soon starts to wonder if there may be more to their relationship.
“Few shows command their place in the national conversation quite like Eastenders, so I’m delighted to be joining the cast as Clive Masters,” said Durr.
“Working with the wonderful Kellie Bright has been an absolute joy and pleasure from day one. All the cast, crew and production staff have been incredibly generous, welcoming and good humoured. I’m excited for audiences to meet Clive and see what’s in store.”
Durr will make his debut as Clive on screen later this month.
