Elicia Bailey for Love Island 2026 / ITV
Love Island suffered its most devastating bloodbath yet last night as four bombshells were dumped and OG Ellie Chadwick chose to walk out.
Shortly after leaving the villa, Elicia Bailey spoke to the press about her time on the show…
How does it feel to be leaving the Love Island Villa?
“I didn’t find love but hopefully my man will be waiting for me out there and he’s watching the TV thinking ‘I’m going to get with her when she comes out’.”
How did it feel to enter the Villa with Ethan?
“I was so excited walking in with Ethan. We came in at the same time and we knew what the craic was. It was nice to walk in with him, and he had my back throughout it all.”
We’ve obviously seen you getting to know Finley while he was coupled up with Ellie. Did you feel strongly towards him and did you think that could potentially develop?
“At the time, Finley was up there as one of the people I was definitely interested in. He’s definitely someone I would be with on the outside personality-wise. We really got on. I did start to develop a liking for Fin.”
And what about Aidan?
“I feel Aidan was someone I always knew I’d be drawn to initially anyway which is why I didn’t pick him for the dates – I wanted to talk to people I wouldn’t necessarily talk to. I’m not finding love on the outside so I wanted to give myself an opportunity to meet somebody that wasn’t necessarily my typical type. With Aidan, the more we chatted, he’s an amazing person but maybe Aidan was a bit too ‘laddy’ for someone who I want long-term. He went about it maturely – I’m happy for them. He just wasn’t right for me.”
Who were you closest to in the Villa? Do you feel like you formed good friendships?
“I feel like I formed connections for life there. Me, Yas and Ellie were close and Julia and Martha were so understanding of my situation because they came in at Casa Amor. I think everyone knew it wasn’t an easy ride for me.”
When it was revealed there was a public vote, did you think you could be at risk?
“I did feel the night before that over the next coming days it could be my time. As much as I loved being there with everyone, I had no connection to explore and that’s why you’re there – to find love.”
Love Island continues Sundays to Fridays at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX, with Unseen Bits airing Saturdays at 10pm.
