Sky Mobile global roaming map
Sky is rewarding its longest-serving customers with free mobile roaming data in 120 worldwide locations effective immediately.
Existing and new Sky Mobile customers who have Sky VIP Diamond status – earned automatically by being a Sky customer for 15 years or more continuously – will be able to use existing call, text and data allocations across a wide range of destinations at no additional cost.
The area includes the US, Canada, the EU, India, Thailand, Brazil, Australia, New Zealand, China and the Caribbean, with the major exceptions including much of Africa, Russia and Argentina.
Sky Mobile customers without VIP Diamond status can enable the roaming add-on for £2 per day – and all roaming packages are subject to a fair-use allowance of 25GB.
Furthermore, Sky has launched a special offer for VIP Diamond customers to tempt them over to Sky Mobile with a package offering unlimited data for £10 a month on a 12-month contract.
Ben Case, Sky’s MD of connectivity, said: “We’re giving our longest-standing Sky customers free global roaming in 120 destinations with Sky Mobile – it’s another way we’re recognising loyalty with rewards that matter. Whether in Chile or China, South Korea or South Africa, Sky VIP Diamond customers will now stay connected at no extra cost.”
All UK mobile users wishing to check the current status of their contract, including any possible early termination fees, can do so for free by texting INFO to 85075.
The roaming offer does not apply to Sky Mobile customers in Ireland, although a package of unlimited data, texts and calls is available for €15 a month.
