Aaron Pierre as John Stewart and Kyle Chandler as Hal Jordan in Lanterns / HBO Max
HBO Max has released an extended trailer for its upcoming DC superhero series Lanterns.
The show – from Lost supremo Damon Lindelof – follows experienced Green Lantern Hal Jordan (Kyle Chandler) and new recruit John Stewart (Aaron Pierre) as they investigate a murder in Nebraska that has all the hallmarks of extraterrestrial involvement.
The show also stars Nathan Fillion, reprising his role as Guy Gardner from Superman, Kelly Macdonald as Kerry, the local sheriff, and Ulrich Thomsen as Sinestro, a former Lantern who has gone rogue.
Lanterns premieres on HBO Max in the UK and Ireland on Monday, August 17.
