Nadia Suliaman has become the fourth candidate to be fired by Lord Sugar on the current series of The Apprentice.
The 35-year-old – a Swansea native who owns a chain of salons in London – was project manager of her team in a task that required the candidates to turn tomatoes or potatoes into profit.
Ultimately a series of bad, single-minded decisions on Nadia’s part saw her team actually record a loss to the tune of £73.40, while the other team delivered a profit of £167.83.
Although Nadia chose to bring Keir Shave and Jana Denzel back into the boardroom with her, Lord Sugar took the unusual step of failing to deliberate and fired Nadia instantly.
“Nadia, we can’t find any other reason for the failure of this task other than your decision that you made for bangers and mash,” he told her. “It’s as simple as that. The amount of money that you paid for sausages – 500-odd pounds – really killed this task.
“So Nadia, you’ve left me nowhere to go, unfortunately – you’re fired.”
Speaking in the taxi afterwards, Nadia said: “Lord Sugar has missed out on an absolute massive opportunity with me. There’s no reason why I should have been fired, I think it’s really unfair.”
The Apprentice continues next Thursday at 9pm on BBC One and iPlayer.
