Alfie Watts for Race Across The World / BBC
Race Across The World winner Alfie Watts has come out as bisexual in a post on social media.
The 23-year-old triumphed with close friend Owen Wood in the 2024 series of the show and has since launched a career as a travel vlogger and an advocate for youth mental health causes.
Posting as part of a slideshow on Instagram to more than 330,000 followers, he wrote: “I’m bisexual, and this is the first time I’ve ever said it online, so you probably didn’t know – surprise!! (what a terrifying thing to say out loud)”
He added: “For obvious reasons, I’m absolutely terrified putting this post out to the world, but I love this little corner of the internet that I can call ours, so thank you for being in it”
