Megan on Coronation Street on June 30, 2026 / ITV
Beth Nixon has reportedly reprised her role as child abuser Megan Walsh on Coronation Street.
The character made her debut a year ago as athletics coach for then-15-year-old Will Driscoll (Lucas Hodgson-Wale) – and it soon became apparent that their relationship was more untoward.
Having groomed him for months, Megan had sex with Will on his 16th birthday and after several near misses, their clandestine affair was finally exposed, much to the horror of Will’s family.
The crime was taken to trial, and in July, Megan was found guilty and sentenced to five years in prison, seemingly ending her storyline.
According to The Sun, however, Nixon is back filming with the soap and has shot scenes with Hodgson-Wale, Catherine Tyldesley (Eva) and Pauline McLynn (Maggie).
“Beth Nixon, who played paedo teacher Megan Walsh, is already back on the ITV set filming this week,” a source told the newspaper.
“Megan might have been sent to jail back in [July] but her former pupil Will Driscoll will be shocked when she returns.
“Beth has been filming this week and will be on screen later this year.”
The reason for Megan’s return is currently unknown, although prior to being jailed she was pregnant with Will’s baby but claimed to have had a termination.
