Ex-Lostprophets singer Ian Watkins has been killed, aged 48, in a prison attack.
In December 2013 the paedophile was sentenced to 29 years in prison having been found guilty of multiple sexual offences against children, including some of baby age.
West Yorkshire Police confirmed that an inmate was pronounced dead at HMP Wakefield on Saturday morning following the attack and an investigation has been launched.
Watkins was previously attacked in the same prison two years ago but survived his injuries.
At the time of his sentencing, Mr Justice Royal described Watkins’s behaviour as having “plunged into new depths of depravity”, adding that he had shown “complete lack of remorse”.
