Farida for Big Brother 2023 / ITV
Age: 52
From: Wolverhampton
Occupation: Makeup artist
Why do you want to re-enter the house?
“Firstly, I think it’s a fantastic choice. And secondly, the amount of time you put into the whole process, I didn’t really feel fulfilled – I only had a few days in there. The most important thing is – the audience has wanted this for such a long time. Even when Celebrity Big Brother was on there were rumours I was going back into the House. You’ve got to listen to your fans. I’m doing it for the fans.”
What do you think of this series so far?
“I’ve caught up a little bit. I watched the launch and wasn’t that impressed with the cast. But then on day two, when the four extra Housemates went in, I thought ‘wow, yes.’ They aren’t the most exciting; there’s nobody that really shines for me. I was hoping Richard was going to be a lot different than he is. I feel like we need someone to go in there and get the better side of him out – that could be me.”
Who do you think you’ll get along with?
“It depends on how they receive me. Obviously, if they’re fans of Big Brother they might already know me and my character. Let’s see, and that will dictate how I react to them. My whole take might be a little bit different this time.”
Is there anyone you might struggle with?
“I think I might have problems with Caroline. But I don’t know why. She’s an older woman that’s desperate to win. I don’t like what’s gone on recently with Jenny – her being called fake. I’ve been on the back end of that in the past and it’s not nice. Especially when you’re stuck in a pressure cooker environment. That might impact how I challenge people in there.”
Do you have a strategy?
“No, I’m just going to be me.”
Big Brother airs Sunday to Friday at 9pm on ITV2.
