90 Day Fiancé star Chuck Potthast has died at the age of 64, his family have announced.
The businessman quickly became a fan favourite when he appeared in the franchise as his daughter Elizabeth Castravet married her Moldovan beau Andrei.
The family’s lives were documented across multiple seasons of the show – featuring Andrei’s often-fractious relationships with Elizabeth’s sisters and Chuck’s attempts to keep the peace.
Posting on Instagram, Elizabeth wrote: “Two weeks ago, tragedy struck our family and it has left us completely shattered.
“My sweet, loving, and caring dad went to heaven.
“We’re trying to figure out how to navigate our lives and move forward without him.
“Please respect our privacy during this extremely difficult time.”
Andrei also posted a short video to his own account alongside the caption: “Honoring a man who was a huge part of our lives. Thank you for all the memories, the laughs, and the moments no one ever saw. For now… rest in peace, Chuck. More to share soon…”
The cause of Chuck’s death has yet to be revealed by the family.
