Paddy McGuinness for Tempting Fortune / Channel 4
Channel 4 has renewed reality show Tempting Fortune for a third series but Paddy McGuinness has confirmed that he is stepping down as host.
The format sees a group of contestants set off on an epic trek armed with a huge cash prize, but along the way they are tempted with a series of luxuries to make their journey easier – albeit at a cost from the prize fund.
McGuinness has presented the first two editions of the show but will not be back for the third in Malaysia due to other work commitments.
“I am happy to be passing the baton on and the new host is in for a real treat because it’s a great show,” he told The Sun.
“I will be sad to leave it, but with other commitments and enjoying more family time, I’ve had to make some difficult choices.”
A Channel 4 spokesperson confirmed: “Paddy has been a brilliant host of Tempting Fortune, bringing his trademark humour to both series.
“We’re grateful for everything he’s brought to the show, and we totally understand that the filming commitment overseas is a big one and he is unable join us for the next series.”
Filming on the new series will take place in early 2026 for an expected broadcast later in the year.
