Hollyoaks Christmas 2026 / Lime Pictures
Channel 4 has confirmed that it plans to release this year’s festive Hollyoaks boxset on December 22.
The soap will air four episodes over the Christmas and New Year period, all of which will be available via streaming on December 22 from 6am. The episodes will additionally air on E4 on December 22, 23, 29 and 30.
Each of the episodes will tell the story of Christmas Day from the perspective of four different families – the Hutchinsons, the Lomaxes, the Clarks/Maaliks and the McQueens.
Episode synopses follow…
Episode 1
There’s festive cheer at the Hutchinsons this Christmas, but an unexpected present sends the day into turmoil… Meanwhile, Jack Osborne is suited and booted with a special mission under his sleeve to make the day extra special.
Episode 2
There’s Christmas magic at the McQueens, but for Mercedes, the sparkle has faded… Warren turns up in full Santa costume to help spread cheer, but things don’t go to plan. A knock on the door grants Theresa’s wish.
Episode 3
It’s frosty between Misbah and Donny this Christmas but will the festive cheer bring the family closer together, or will Donny’s recent escapades be exposed?
Episode 4
It’s the first Christmas without Peri at the Lomaxes but Leela is determined to give her children and Lucas the best day she can which includes extending an olive branch to Ste. Meanwhile, watching the carollers perform in the village, Pearl has something she wants to get off her chest.
The regular Hollyoaks scheduling pattern will resume in the New Year on Monday, January 5.
