On the anniversary of Hayley’s death, Roy tells Carla that he’s planning to visit the boating lake where he scattered her ashes. When Roy advises Carla to sort things with Lisa as Hayley would want her to be happy, Carla points out that she would want him to be happy too.

At a client lunch meeting, Carla is handed a letter from Lisa inviting her to lunch – but when Carla attempts to text Lisa to explain that she’s in a meeting, her clients tell her that there should be no phones at the table. Later, a drunk Lisa barges into the restaurant and berates Carla for ghosting her.
Carl comes out of his bathroom and is shocked to be confronted by Tyrone, who attacks him with his crutch while demanding the truth about the accident.
Also on Wednesday: Maggie and Eva call a truce for the sake of Ben’s health, Roy and Nina discuss if Alice is real and Jodie does a runner when she clocks Kit in the café.

Shona’s shocked when Kit tells her that he saw Jodie in the woods on the night of the crash, her wrists were bound and she appeared to be running away from someone. Meanwhile, after Jodie goes to a domestic violence support group and hears an account of an abuse survivor, she returns to No.8 and appears to have a meltdown.
