BBC Alba x Serie A
The BBC has agreed a sublicensing deal with DAZN to show eight Serie A games live for free between now and the end of the season in May.
The move comes amid a recent influx of Scottish players moving – and succeeding – in the Italian top flight, including Scott McTominay (Napoli), Billy Gilmour (Napoli), Che Adams (Torino) and Lewis Ferguson (Bologna).
The games will be broadcast live on the Gaelic-language BBC Alba channel, which is available right across the UK and also streams on iPlayer.
The first fixture under the deal is the clash between Torino and Bologna this Sunday at 5pm, with the remaining seven games to be confirmed shortly.
Alba director of content Margaret Cameron said: “This is a great opportunity for fans in Scotland to see these games free-to-air and enjoy watching the fantastic Scottish talent in Serie A in the run up to the World Cup.”
