Disney+ has officially become available to millions of Sky customers at no additional cost as part of the new deal that will combine Sky, HBO Max, Disney+, Netflix and hayu into one subscription.
Sky Q, Sky Glass and Sky Stream can activate their free Disney+ subscription by launching the app on their box, or by saying “Disney+” into their remote.
The subscription tier being offered for free is Disney+ With Ads – worth the equivalent of £5.99 a month – and existing Disney+ subscribers have the option to transfer over their current subscription and avoid paying the cost.
Disney+ customers who have a higher tier subscription, such as Standard or Premium, can also make the switch and get £5.99 off their bill while retaining their superior package.
The linear Disney+ Cinema channel has also launched for Sky Cinema subscribers on channel 305 via Sky Q, Sky Glass and Sky Stream.
HBO Max is due to follow on March 26, with the reality TV streamer hayu due by the Summer.
