Sky Sports Golf 2029
Sky has extended its key golf rights for another four years through to 2029, the broadcaster has confirmed.
Under the new agreements Sky will continue to show the biennial battle between Europe and the USA in the Ryder Cup, including the 2027 edition at Adare Manor, Ireland and the 2029 edition at Hazeltine, USA.
Sky Sports’ dedicated golf channel, Sky Sports Golf, will also broadcast at least another four years of the European Tour – currently known as the DP World Tour for sponsorship reasons.
Jonathan Licht, Sky’s chief sports officer, said: “Extending our long-standing partnership with the DP World Tour comes at a time when golf viewership is reaching record heights.
“This year’s Ryder Cup at Bethpage Black once again proved why it remains one of the most compelling events in world sport and we look forward to bringing fans the next two.
“We also saw record audiences for the Tour at the Amgen Irish Open this year and we know there will be many more unmissable moments from the season-long Race to Dubai over the next four years.”
The deal wraps up another long-term deal for Sky Sports, which also has the Premier League, the EFL, the EFL Cup and the EFL Trophy until 2029, the Women’s Super League until 2030, England home cricket until 2028, ATP and WTA tennis until 2028, Formula 1 until 2029, major darts championships until 2030, the NBA until 2036 and the NFL until 2028.
