A new Coronation Street trailer offers a first look at Sarah (Tina O’Brien) going on trial for murder in next week’s episodes.
Sarah is currently banged up after confessing to the accidental murder of evil Theo (James Cartwright), who had been domestically abusing her best friend Todd (Gareth Pierce).
As the trial gets underway, Sarah and her defence will desperately try to convince the jury that on the night in question she was merely acting in self-defence – but when all is said and done, will she manage to secure her freedom?
Discussing the storyline, O’Brien explained: “Sarah is absolutely terrified, she has been desperate for this day to come but the reality of being brought up from the cells and standing in the dock is overwhelming. As the prosecution case is laid out she is not sure things will go her way.”
The trial episodes of Coronation Street begin on Wednesday, October 14.
