Monday, February 2

Overwhelmed with guilt about Anya, Ruby lies to Bear that the ribbon he left for Anya worked and they think she has been found. Distressed, Bear recalls Anya’s final moments and how Ray tried to help her, but Ruby lashes out and insists that Ray deserved a slow, horrible death. Paddy’s heard enough and shoves Ruby out, slamming the door.


Moira and Cain are shocked to be arrested for murder in front of their children.



Cain remains tight-lipped throughout his interview and is soon released without charge. Moira maintains that she was set up by Celia but is stunned when DC Chen tells her that one of the bodies they found was Celia’s. Moira’s overwhelmed by the sheer amount of evidence stacked against her. When DS Chen goes on to reveal that Moira’s DNA was found on the blanket Anya was buried in, she’s left gobsmacked to be charged with the double murder of Anya and Celia.

A nervous Cain attends his appointment, where his consultant confirms that he has aggressive, but localised prostate cancer. As the consultant explains the treatment – a radical prostatectomy – and its potential side-effects, Cain gets up and leaves.

Struggling to process the information, a dazed Cain returns to the village and lashes out at Sarah and Liam. Later, Cain sits alone at Zak’s graveside in contemplation.

Paddy and Dylan worry when DS Walsh arrives, fearful that Bear could end up revealing his part in Ray’s death. When she questions him about Anya, Bear admits that he dug her grave after Ray asked him to, but when he gets distressed about the blanket Anya was wrapped in, Paddy decides to cut the interview short.


Joe and Graham decide to get ahead of the rumour mill and enter the Woolpack, leaving the residents stunned that Graham is still alive.


Cain’s visibly thrown when he visits Moira in prison and she enters with a black eye.
