Doctor Alex George to release debut book in 2021

Doctor Alex George announces plans to release a book about physical and mental wellbeing in May 2021.

Doctor Alex George has announced plans to release his debut book, Live Well Every Day, in May 2021.

The 30-year-old - a former contestant on Love Island - has gained a legion of fans this year, updating followers on the coronavirus crisis from his frontline work as an A&E doctor.

George has also become an outspoken advocate for mental health issues following the tragic death of his younger brother Llyr over the summer and has now revealed plans to release a book offering advice on how to maintain good physical and mental health.

"Now more than ever after the year we have all endured, we truly understand the need to protect our physical and mental health," he wrote on Instagram.

"This book will put you back in the driving seat of your own health and well-being, show you how to make the right choices, take control and make small and consistent changes that last.

"Amongst other things, I will look at protecting your mental health, the power of good nutrition, best sleep and relaxation techniques, purpose, and how fitness contributes to both your physical and mental wellbeing.

"This book has been several years in the making and on a personal note, since Llŷr passed, finishing it has meant everything to me. He was so proud of this book and the help it would give others."
