Ariana Grande and Lady Gaga to perform together at MTV VMAs

Ariana Grande and Lady Gaga will perform their mega-hit 'Rain On Me' at this year's MTV Video Music Awards, it is announced.

MTV has confirmed that Ariana Grande and Lady Gaga will team up to perform their worldwide hit 'Rain On Me' at this year's Video Music Awards.

The track - from Gaga's Chromatica album - became the first female collaboration to debut at the top of the US Billboard Hot 100 when it was released in May and has also hit number one in 14 other countries around the world.

The VMAs are going ahead in New York on August 30, although plans to stage the show at the Barclays Center have been abandoned in favour of a number of socially-distanced segments around the city due to coronavirus.

Gaga and Grande, who lead the nominations with nine apiece, join a lineup of performers that also includes Miley Cyrus, The Weeknd, BTS, Doja Cat and Maluma.
