Yasmin Davies and Alex Fletcher in Hollyoaks
Yasmin Davies, the real-life daughter of Hollyoaks legend Alex Fletcher (Diane), has been cast in the soap for its Brookside crossover next week.
The young actress, who stars in G’wed and has recently filmed a new Silent Witness story, will be playing a character called Esme on the Brookside crossover and Hollyoaks Later.
Esme is the daughter of legacy Brookie character Jacqui Dixon – played by Fletcher from 1990 to 2003 – and will be seen in scenes with Sheila (Sue Johnston) and Billy (John McArdle).
The character then heads for a night out in Liverpool as part of the Later episode and will bump into Hollyoaks teens Vicky (Anya Lawrence), Frankie (Isabelle Smith), Dillon (Nathaniel Dass) and Lucas (Oscar Curtis).
“I’ve absolutely loved being a part of the Brookside and Laters episodes,” said Davies.
“There has been such a nostalgic energy on set, and I’m really looking forward to seeing it all come together to celebrate 30 years of Hollyoaks.”
The episodes will play out next Wednesday, October 22 on Channel 4 streaming and E4.
