James Sutton has revealed that he has signed a new contract keeping him on Hollyoaks as John Paul McQueen for another year.
The news means that the actor will mark 20 years since he first appeared on the soap, having made his debut in the role in 2006.
Speaking on the Tom’s Talks podcast, he confirmed: “I’m still on Hollyoaks, which is great. I’ve just signed another year.”
He added: “I’m going to be there until January 2026. Yeah. I’m there until January 2026.”
Sutton’s new contract comes after a transformative 2024 for the show, which saw 25 cast members leave amid the transition from five to three episodes a week.
