The field for the race to take over as the new James Bond has reportedly narrowed to just three candidates.
Talks over Daniel Craig’s successor have intensified in recent months following Amazon’s multi-billion pound acquisition of the spy franchise, and earlier this week Denis Villeneuve was confirmed as the director of the next film.
Multiple actors have been linked with the part – and up until recently the bookies suggested that either Aaron Taylor-Johnson or Theo James would be named as 007.
According to Variety, however, producers have now whittled it down to either Tom Holland, Harris Dickinson or Aussie actor Jacob Elordi.
The publication says that the team are interested “in casting a British actor under the age of 30”, with Elordi’s Australian heritage not thought to be a deal-breaker.
The new movie – the 26th in the franchise – is being eyed for a 2028 release date.
