Zoe Ball for BBC Radio 2
Zoe Ball has reportedly agreed to host a new show for Greatest Hits Radio from this Autumn.
The broadcasting veteran, 55, stepped down from her BBC Radio 2 breakfast show in December 2024 and then left her new Saturday show a year later.
Ball recently revealed that she had auditioned for a hosting role on Strictly Come Dancing but was unsuccessful, and according to The Sun, she is now moving on from the BBC to GHR.
“Greatest Hits have wanted her for a while and as soon as Zoe found out about not getting the Strictly job, she decided to take it,” an insider told the newspaper.
“She absolutely loves being a radio presenter and after stepping away from her BBC Radio 2 Breakfast Show a year ago, she took time to think about what she wanted.
“She knows so many people at the commercial station and can’t wait to get started. She is due to join the station this Autumn.”
Details of Ball’s new show, or the broadcast slot, have yet to be revealed.
