Sports presenter Ade Adepitan is reportedly in talks about taking part in this year’s edition of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!
Should he agree a deal to head Down Under, the 53-year-old – a former basketball player – would make history as the first wheelchair user to take on the jungle.
“Ade has been in talks with I’m A Celebrity, who are really keen to make it work,” a source told The Sun.
“Producers are currently looking at ways to adapt the camp to make it work for Ade.
“They think his infectious larger-than-life personality would make him a perfect campmate for the new series.”
Adepitan’s inclusion would require producers to get creative with the Bush Tucker trials, some of which require ascending to heights or crawling through small spaces, while the infamous Celebrity Cyclone would also require a rethink should he make it to that stage of the show.
The new series launches on ITV in November.
