Big Brother records 50% year-on-year streaming growth

ITV has reported a 50% year-on-year growth in streaming of Big Brother two weeks into the new series.

The figures come despite the broadcaster controversially axing the fan-favourite live feeds from ITVX this year – a move that has been lamented by BB host Will Best.

As of Monday, the show has delivered 12.7 million streams on ITVX, up from the equivalent figure of 8.5m after 13 episodes in 2025.

Linear viewing on ITV2 has also risen, with Sunday’s episode drawing 645,000 viewers – a year-on-year increase of 187k and the most-watched non-launch episode since 2024.

New spinoff show The Group Chat, which has replaced Late & Live, also recorded its best figure – 244k – on Sunday night.

Big Brother continues Sundays to Fridays at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
