Ben Duncan for Big Brother 11 / Channel 4
Big Brother star Ben Duncan has died at the age of 45, it has been announced.
The socialite – a university friend of Prince William – appeared in the 11th edition of the reality show in 2010, lasting 52 days in the house in a series that was eventually won by Josie Gibson.
The Met Police confirmed Duncan’s death after he fell from the roof bar of a luxury hotel – a height of around 100ft – last Thursday night.
A spokesperson said: “Officers responded to concerns for a man on the roof of a building in Cockspur Street, Westminster at 23:02 hours on Thursday, 30 October.
“The man sadly fell from height. Despite the best efforts from the London Ambulance service, he was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
“His death is unexpected but non-suspicious.”
Duncan becomes the fifth former civilian Big Brother housemate to have died, following the losses of Jade Goody (BB3), Paul Brennan (Teen BB), Nikki Grahame (BB7) and Sophia Brown (BB10).
