Second Marriage At First Sight / Channel 4
Channel 4 has commissioned a spinoff of the hugely-successful Married At First Sight uniting the UK and Australian versions of the dating show.
Called Second Marriage At First Sight, the new format will feature four past participants from the British show being paired up with four past Aussie participants in a second shot at love.
Over 24 episodes, the new couples will start off getting ‘married’ in the UK, where they will get to know each other before jetting Down Under to meet friends and family.
Steven Handley, C4’s head of reality and entertainment, said: “These eight well-loved MAFS singles didn’t find lasting love the first time, but they haven’t given up – and neither have we.
“Everyone deserves a second chance at love and this time they’re saying ‘I do’ to a stranger on the other side of the world, risking absolutely everything for another shot at getting it right. I think it will be our greatest love story yet.”
Second Marriage At First Sight is expected to air on E4 later this year.
