Chris Hughes for Celebrity Big Brother 2025 / ITV
Chris Hughes is reportedly in line to be named host of the new Big Brother spinoff show.
Since the show was revived by ITV in 2023 it was accompanied by a nightly spinoff, Big Brother: Late & Live, hosted by Will Best and AJ Odudu.
In an effort to cut costs, the broadcaster has now axed Late & Live and is replacing it with a new “visualised podcast” format along the lines of The Traitors: Uncloaked.
According to The Sun, Hughes, who took part in last year’s Celebrity Big Brother, is in the frame to be the main presenter and could be joined by girlfriend JoJo Siwa.
“Chris is super popular online and bosses know he would be a ratings winner,” a source told the newspaper.
“He and JoJo have a legion of fans and have become part of the special group of people who have found love in the house.
“ITV has seen the success of the Love Island podcast this year and want to replicate that with Big Brother.
“JoJo is currently tied up with other commitments but would be welcome on to the show should the dates work for her.”
The new series of Big Brother is expected to launch on Sunday, September 13 for an extended eight-week run.
