Timothee Chalamet in Marty Supreme / A24
The Critics Choice Awards – the first major ceremony of the season – has taken place in Santa Monica, celebrating the best of film and TV from the last year.
In a major boost to his Oscar hopes, Timothee Chalamet took home the Best Actor award for his role in Marty Supreme, while British Netflix drama Adolescence dominated the TV half of the ceremony, with individual awards going to Stephen Graham and 16-year-old Owen Cooper.
One Battle After Another was named Best Movie, while Frankenstein picked up four awards, including Best Supporting Actor for Jacob Elordi.
