Dame Sarah Storey for Strictly Come Dancing 2026 / BBC
Paralympic legend Dame Sarah Storey has been announced for this year’s edition of Strictly Come Dancing.
The 48-year-old – the most successful British Paralympian of all time with 19 golds – becomes the seventh celebrity confirmed for the lineup, joining Lacey Turner, Delta Goodrem, Dani Dyer, Chris Appleton, Cach Mercer and Will Best.
“Embarking on a new challenge so soon after stepping down as an athlete is hugely exciting,” said Storey.
“I have always loved watching Strictly and my daughter Louisa is a very talented dancer, so to be able to learn from the best and hopefully understand even more about her world, is incredibly motivating! I can’t wait to get started!”
The new series airs on BBC One from September.
