Gavin & Stacey star Joanna Page has reportedly entered talks about appearing on this year’s I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!
The actress, 49 – Stacey Shipman in the much-loved comedy – recently met with show producers to discuss a potential trip Down Under in November, according to The Sun.
“Joanna is in the advanced stages of talks for I’m A Celebrity and all the signs are looking positive,” a source told the newspaper.
“She’s a huge BBC star and it would be a coup if ITV can get her to sign her contract and put her front and centre on their biggest entertainment show.
“Joanna is hugely popular thanks to her role on Gavin & Stacey. I’m A Celeb bosses would love to get her in the jungle so the public can get to know the real Joanna.
“She has confided in friends that she’s really keen to take part and wants to go on and make her children proud.”
Other names linked with this year’s series include ice skating legend Christopher Dean and Mis-Teeq’s Su-Elise Nash.
