Hugh Grant in A Very English Scandal / BBC
Hollywood actor Hugh Grant has reportedly been approached about taking part in this year’s edition of The Celebrity Traitors.
The first series of The Traitors spinoff was a huge hit for the BBC last year, pulling in upwards of 15 million viewers, attracting high-profile participants including Celia Imrie, Sir Stephen Fry, Alan Carr and Tom Daley.
The new series is due to be filmed in Scotland in May and according to The Sun, producers have made an approach to British film legend Grant about taking part.
A source told the newspaper: “They know landing Hugh would be a huge coup but think he would be a brilliant addition.
“Bosses are determined not to get the same tired reality stars who sign up to every series going.”
A BBC spokesperson responded: “We aren’t commenting on speculation and details for The Celebrity Traitors series two will be announced in due course.”
Other celebs linked with the new series include actor Danny Dyer, Oasis star Liam Gallagher and comedian Joanne McNally.
