Johannes Radebe for Strictly Come Dancing 2025 / BBC
Johannes Radebe has reportedly been offered the role as a host on the new series of Strictly Come Dancing.
The BBC has been working on finding new presenters for its flagship show – arguably the most coveted jobs in British television – for several months following the departures of Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman last year.
Multiple contenders were given screen tests last month as possible presenting combinations were tried out at secret auditions – and executives have now made their final decision.
Emma Willis is thought to have landed one of the main roles, while Radebe – part of the professional team since 2018 and a fan favourite – will also be given a hosting position, according to The Sun.
“Everyone involved in the auditions — including the celebs — are saying the job is going to JoJo,” a source said.
“During the chemistry tests he was paired up with every other celeb and did incredibly well. They all think he would be the perfect partner for Emma.
“He has been announced as one of the returning professional dancers but that doesn’t mean bosses aren’t going to promote him.”
An official announcement of the new presenters is expected at some point in the next few weeks.
