Megan Moore for Love Island 2025 / ITV
OG couple Meg Moore and Dejon Noel-Williams fell at the final hurdle of Love Island last night, being brutally dumped from the island by a jury of former contestants.
Soon after they left, Meg talked to the press about her experience as a member of the Class of 2025…
How does it feel to be leaving the Villa?
“I was definitely ready to go and leave with D. It’s very different being in there, it was an amazing experience but it got to a point where we were ready to go and do life on the outside world.”
Were you shocked to leave?
“We weren’t shocked, especially being so close to the end and how things had ended after our date. As soon as we saw the former Islanders come back, we knew we would be going. All the couples are very compatible so it was a case of all being in it together and knowing we would all see each other again in a day’s time.”
Was there an instant connection?
“From the get go, I always knew it would be him. I kept saying I wanted a test and we had some bombshells and Casa. I tried to speak to other boys but it just wasn’t in me. D explored connections, he did it, he flirted but it ultimately made us stronger in our relationship.”
Did you ever want to get to know anyone else?
“I definitely did try to get to know the boys when they came in. But I didn’t throw myself in the deep end and flirt because that’s not in me.”
There have been disagreements between you and the other girls – how has that been left?
“Since the talent show, I feel like it brought us together and I have no problem with those girls and wouldn’t speak badly about them. Being around people 24/7, we used to say you argue with your sisters at home and it’s the same with the girls in there. You can’t get on with everyone but we haven’t left on bad terms. They are great people, so funny in their own way and I can’t say a bad word about them.”
Who did you feel closest to?
“I have made amazing friendships – girls wise people like Emily, Megan, Angel, Lucy, Helena. They were some of my closest girls and every time one of them left I cried my eyes out. And all the boys I got on with very well and they are like brothers to me.”
What do you think is next for you and Dejon?
“Proving to everyone we are actually going to stay together! Spending time together and introducing one another to family and friends.”
Who are you rooting for?
“All the couples are so strong but I think Angel and Ty are very strong in the sense of relationship. Yes they haven’t had tests or been in there long but their connection, I see something there straightaway.”
Love Island: The Live Final airs tonight at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
