Michelle Tsiakkas has withdrawn from the Strictly Come Dancing live tour following rumours that she is one of several stars being axed from the show.
Over the last week, media reports have suggested that multiple professional dancers are being dropped by the BBC for the next series later this year – including Tsiakkas, Gorka Marquez, Neil Jones, Luba Mushtuk, Nadiya Bychkova, Nancy Xu and Karen Hauer.
Now Tsiakkas has withdrawn from the upcoming Strictly Come Dancing: The Professionals tour, with an official statement reading: “Michelle Tsiakkas has decided not to take part in Strictly The Professionals 2026 Tour.
“We are naturally disappointed but respect her decision and wish her every success for the future.
“We look forward to starting the tour rehearsals early next month with Julian, Vito, Neil, Gorka, Lauren, Jowita, Luba, Alexis, Kai and Nancy.”
The Strictly Come Dancing: The Professionals tour begins at the end of April, taking in 28 dates around the UK.
