Stefan Dennis as Paul Robinson in Neighbours / Prime Video
Neighbours legend Stefan Dennis will reportedly take part in this year’s Strictly Come Dancing.
The 66-year-old actor has played the one-time villain on the Aussie soap since its first ever episode in 1985, and after leaving in 1993, he has been a full-time fixture again since 2004.
The show has been axed for a second time after being given a reprieve by Prime Video a couple of years ago, with the final episode already filmed earlier this month and due to be released this Christmas.
According to The Sun, now that he has a freed-up schedule, Dennis will be making his way over to the UK to compete in this year’s Strictly.
A source said: “Stefan is a huge character on the soap and is sure to be a hit with Strictly fans. BBC bosses are confident Stefan will bring in the ratings.
“He has made no secret of the fact that he would love to star on Strictly and will put his all into the training.”
Other names linked with the new series include EastEnders star Balvinder Sopal, dating expert Paul C Brunson and Team GB legend Sir Mo Farah.
