Team GB hero Sir Mo Farah has reportedly been approached about taking part in this year’s series of Strictly Come Dancing.
The 42-year-old – a four-time Olympics gold champion – is viewed by producers as “a genuine national treasure”, according to The Sun, as the show looks to rebuild its image in 2025.
Several scandals have engulfed Strictly in recent years, including dancer Giovanni Pernice being accused of bullying by Amanda Abbington in 2023 and Wynne Evans being reprehended for his behind-the-scenes behaviour last year.
A source told the newspaper of Farah: “His personality would provide the perfect tonic to the toxicity that’s overshadowed Strictly.
“Bosses would love to sign him up but the talks are at a very early stage.”
Also rumoured for the lineup are Gladiators star Nitro, aka Harry Aikines-Aryeetey, reality star Dani Dyer, presenter Stacey Solomon and food critic Tom Parker-Bowles.
