Sixth couple voted off Strictly Come Dancing

Bethany Antonia and her pro partner Nancy Xu have become the sixth couple voted off this year’s Strictly Come Dancing.

The pair were not bottom of the judges’ leaderboard last night but after viewers’ votes were taken into account they found themselves in a dance-off against Cach Mercer and partner Maddie Ingoldsby.

Antonia and Xu performed their Foxtrot to ‘Bleeding Love’ once more, while Mercer and Ingoldsby gave another rendition of their Waltz to ‘That Ain’t You’.

Both Craig Revel Horwood and Motsi Mabuse chose to keep Antonia and Xu, while Anton Du Beke voted to save Mercer and Ingoldsby.

That meant that this week’s judge with the deciding vote, Shirley Ballas, had the final say – and she chose to save Mercer and Ingoldsby.

Strictly continues next Saturday at 6.25pm on BBC One and iPlayer with the nine remaining couples competing for a chance to make it through to the iconic Blackpool Week.
