You Bet! On Tour / ITV
You Bet! is to return for a full six-episode series with Stephen Mulhern as the sole host, ITV has announced.
The classic ’90s show made a tentative comeback in 2024 with two one-off specials hosted by Mulhern and Holly Willoughby – and after some deliberation, the broadcaster has now commissioned a six-part series and a Christmas special under the ‘On Tour’ brand.
The new format involves a celebrity panel predicting “whether each plucky challenger can complete their challenge… or not! From supersized adrenaline-fueled action to smaller, quirkier skills, each challenger is competing for a £5,000 cash prize, while the panellists vie to become that week’s You Bet Champion.”
Media Mole understands that filming for the new series has already begun, with an episode being filmed at Thorpe Park, with Willoughby and Rylan Clark serving as panellists, earlier this week.
Other panellists over the course of the series include Zoe Ball, Rob Beckett, Alex Brooker, Alesha Dixon, Alison Hammond, Babatunde Aleshe, Josie Gibson, Danny Jones, Eddie Kadi, Judi Love, Oti Mabuse, Nick Mohammed, AJ Odudu, Will Best, Greg Rutherford, Adam Thomas, Ryan Thomas, Johnny Vegas and Josh Widdicombe.
Speaking about the new format, Mulhern said: “I’m absolutely thrilled that You Bet! is back – and this time we’re hitting the road!
“Each week I’ll be joined by a top celeb panel, as our challengers take on some brilliantly bonkers and amazing challenges. With the title of You Bet Champion on the line, it’s going to be unbelievable from the start.”
The new series is expected to air this Autumn on ITV1 and ITVX.
