How would you describe yourselves?
Maz: “I’m a deep thinker, I can be sassy but I’m loyal!”
Max: “I’m definitely an adventurous girlie in every sense of life! Since covid I try to never say no to anything so I’ve been travelling – I’m 34 countries down now and cracking on! I’m also really compassionate, I always try to be there for all the people I love.”
Did you have a strategy going in to the competition?
Maz: “We planned on playing the long game! We think on our feet and we’re good at that.”
Max: “We didn’t go in there with a plan but we wanted to be in the experience for as long as possible, so we evolved to every situation and the characters as we went on.”
How important were alliances?
Maz: “We felt like alliances were important as time went along, there comes a point where you need to be strategic! It wasn’t just about building alliances, we genuinely made friends in there, it organically happened.”
Max: “We had no preconceived notions however a s the show evolved and wildcards happened we didn’t expect, we realised alliances would be useful.”
How did you decide who to trust and be wary of?
Max: “We thought everyone operates on the same level of morals and principles that we do, so when we made promises, we kept t o them…I think in hindsight, we now understand that not everyone is the same. You live and you learn!”
