How did you react when you found out you would be taking part in this year’s show?
“I never thought I’d actually get to the Big White Tent! Everyone was so so nice throughout the whole process, so I was having so much fun even just going through the motions and treating it as a fun break from the norm, I hadn’t actually figured I would make it in!”
When did it start to feel really real?
“The moment it started feeling for real to me was when I first met the other bakers! They are all so so so cool and wonderful people, and I was struck by how amazing they were. It was the first time I felt like I could yap and yap about my silly baking ideas to people and they truly get it and give me feedback, and that’s the moment when I realised why we were all chosen for this – We all love baking.”
How was it having Nigella as part of the show?
“It was so nice to get to see Nigella walk into the tent – she had such a sense of wonder about her when she took her place, and it felt so right for her to be there. She took to it like a duck to water! She truly is wonderful, very genuine in her approach to baking and you can tell just how much she cares about taking on board what she’s tasting and helping you with improving it even more!”
Describe your baking style in three words!
“Chaos, chaos, chaos!”
