The Traitors executive producer Mike Cotton has embraced the idea of an All-Stars edition of the show in future.
The reality format is one of the top-rated shows in the UK at the moment, with the recent celebrity spinoff concluding with more than 11 million viewers tuning in live.
A fourth series of the civilian edition has already been filmed and will air in January – and while he conceded that nothing is currently in the works, Cotton is keen to one day bring back some of the most memorable former players for a second stint in the castle.
“There have been so many amazing players in the past,” he said, in quotes reported by The Sun. “Seeing them all come together would be really exciting… of course.
“Everyone we pick for The Traitors can hold their own. We need them to be brilliant because they could go all the way to the finale.
“But that means you have people who could be absolutely brilliant that end up going out on day one. To bring back some of those players would be great.”
He added: “It’s not something that’s in the works at the moment. I think in the long-term future it would be fascinating to do it.”
Meanwhile, applications are already open for the fifth series, due to air in 2027, while plans are at an advanced stage for the second series of The Celebrity Traitors.
