The Traitors S4 finalist Faraaz Noor / BBC
The Traitors finalist Faraaz Noor has met up with the billionaire businessman who has offered to fund his family’s pilgrimage to Mecca.
The 22-year-old missed out on the £95,750 prize pot at the final hurdle in the most recent series of the hugely-popular reality show, dashing his stated aim of using the money to head to visit the Sacred Mosque.
Having watched the show, businessman Umar Kamani – the co-founder of Pretty Little Thing – made a generous offer to cover the cost to enable Faraaz to fulfil his dream.
The pair have now met for the first time after Faraaz accepted an invite to join Kamani at the ‘Kamani Living Evening’ in London on Thursday night.
“It was important to me that this wasn’t just a social media moment,” Kamani told the Daily Mail. “The visas are being sorted, the costs are covered, and his whole family will go.
“Meeting Faraaz in person just confirmed he’s exactly the kind of person you want to help.”
Faraaz added to the publication: “Meeting Umar was surreal. He didn’t have to do any of this.
“The fact that he’s covering everything for my whole family, I don’t have the words for it. My parents have waited their whole lives for this.”
